So you're saying that someone hooked up an aftermarket head unit straight to the bose amplified speakers? Geez, that's a recipe for disaster IMO. The low level inputs on the spks can't handle the high level of output from the stereo. It will work for a while, but in my experience the speakers will always fail eventually. As for disconnecting them either pull the radio and disconnect them from the back, or pull the door panel. If you have the wiring color codes and can get into the conduit in the door jamb you may be able to cut the wires there, but I wouldn't recomend that if you ever plan to hook them up again. If you're going to pull the door panels might as well go ans spend a couple bucks on some cheap replacement speakers to put in instead of just cutting them.
